This assemblage piece has been formed using an intravenous medicine bag with tubing and a potato. I found these objects within my daily life. I selected these two objects without thought, I simply chose based on an internal desire. I then sat and contemplated why I was drawn to the objects and drew a deeper meaning out of repositioning the objects together. This unconscious act took on conscious awareness of the traumatic observation of my father slipping into a coma. I have taken two objects that normally do not have any connection to each other and placed them together, giving it an expressive gesture in the composition. The very act of repositioning and altering these objects give the piece a singularity.
