I am oftentimes my own villain. When I think about things like pride, selfishness and arrogance, I get frustrated because I know that I possess these attributes. I also have to recognize that some of my villains are created by outside sources: things like guilt, shame and anxiety. However, I still have to confront these foes. In both cases, I hate my villains and continually battle against them.

I chose to illustrate guilt, pride and control. The titles of each are “My controlling nature,” “This is Guilt,” and “This is Pride.”
